'Get Yourself Tested'

STD testing offered by University Student Health Services

2:40 p.m., April 5, 2016--One in two sexually active young people will get a sexually transmitted disease (STD) by age 25, and most won’t know it. According to a representative of University of Delaware Student Health Services, there is something students can do about it – get tested.

April is National STD Awareness Month and Student Health Services is offering free STD testing in conjunction with the national Get Yourself Tested campaign.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, young people account for nearly 25 percent of the sexually experienced population in the United States, and for nearly half of new STDs.

How 'Get Yourself Tested' works at Student Health Services

Free sexually transmitted disease testing is being offered at Student Health Services in conjunction with the Get Yourself Tested program.

To make an appointment, students can go to the Student Health website and click on “Get Yourself Tested,” then follow the instructions listed on the page.

STD testing is available at Student Health Services throughout the year.
