The series will feature guest speakers specializing in various fields such as health, exercise, nutrition, sleep and stress who will help answer questions and lead discussions. Guests include the UD nutritionist, the assistant director of nursing, psychologists, and more.
Michelle Scott, a Student Health Services nurse, said, “This walking lecture series is a great way to provide useful information for the students to help gain insight on the importance of balancing life in the university setting, not gained in the classroom, while they are getting a mini-workout.“
The series will be held on The Green, a convenient location for students.
“Getting exercise in the fresh air while the leaves are changing color -- sounds like the perfect blend,” said Brittany Van Sickle, activities coordinator for Healthy HENS.
Those who are interested in participating must preregister by emailing healthyhens@udel.edu.
