Center for Catalytic Science and Technology sets Research Review


8:34 a.m., Sept. 27, 2013--The University of Delaware Center for Catalytic Science and Technology will celebrate its annual Research Review from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Clayton Hall Conference Center.

The Research Review highlights recent discoveries by UD students and faculty in the areas of environmental, energy, electrochemical and pharmaceutical catalysis.

Chronic wounds

UD's Millicent Sullivan and Kristi Kiick have received a $1.4 million grant from the National Institutes of Health for research that could provide a new approach to the treatment of chronic wounds.

Prof. Heck's legacy

The American Chemical Society is highlighting the legacy of the late Nobel laureate Richard Heck, the Willis F. Harrington Professor Emeritus of Chemistry at the University of Delaware with a digital tribute on its publications website.

This year there will be five talks by students and postdoctoral fellows, and five talks by faculty members from the departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. 

The Research Review attracts numerous representatives from national and international companies and from government organizations interested in research conducted at UD.
