UD Homecoming 2013 Pep Rally moved to Carpenter Sports Building


11:20 a.m., Oct. 10, 2013--Due to the inclement weather expected Friday, the location of the second annual University of Delaware Homecoming Pep Rally has been changed from the Laird Campus turf field to Gym 2 at the Carpenter Sports Building.

The gym is across from the rock-climbing wall in the building, which is also known as the Little Bob.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Starting at 4:30 p.m. there will be special student performances by Deltronica and DJ Slipcase, Dark Arts, Kevin McCove, who is a member of the Class of 2012, and more.

The pep rally will be emceed by Scott Klatzkin, a 2007 graduate and the radio play-by-play announcer for the UD football and men’s basketball teams. 

The event will feature appearances by coaches and student-athletes, with short remarks by head football coach Dave Brock. Other special guests include YoUDee, the UD Dance Team and the UD Cheerleaders. 

Guests are encouraged to wear blue and gold to the free event. 

Bus service to the Little Bob is available for students living on East and West campuses.
