A collaboration between the President’s Diversity Initiative, the Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM) and University Student Centers, the project assists student organizations and multicultural departments in promoting their events while supporting the University’s dedication to diversity.

The collaboration was inspired by student Andrew Shermeyer as part of the PDI-sponsored Student Diversity Initiatives last year.
Select events will be shared in the weekly student emails and on UD social media using relevant hashtags and coverage from Social Media Ambassadors. Members of the UD community are encouraged to use the #UDiversity hashtag on their own social media accounts to join the conversation.
OCM’s social media team will populate a Storify story with pictures, tweets, posts and videos highlighting diversity events around UD.
“We have heard from students that they want diverse groups to be involved in events that student groups sponsor. Andrew's suggestion inspired this way of reaching students through multiple social media. We trust this project will continue to educate people about the various cultural heritages represented on our campus,” said Margaret Andersen, director of the President’s Diversity Initiative.
Student groups and other campus organizations can submit information about their events with OCM by filling out a form here.
