UD Police arrest five in recent campus burglaries
10:05 a.m., May 29, 2014--University of Delaware Police have arrested five men in connection with two separate burglaries at the Christiana West Tower residence hall on May 18.
Video game systems and laptop computers were stolen from two different apartments in the residence hall.
With the assistance of Delaware State University Police, UD Police identified five suspects and arrested them on May 20 and 21.
Charged with two counts of burglary, three counts of theft and two counts of conspiracy each were Cameren Judge, 21, of New Britain, Conn.; Gabriel Sherrod, 20, of Dover, Del.; Rashawn Barrett, 20, of Montclair, N.J.; and Shubasz Gordon, 23, of Bloomfield, Conn. In addition, Malik Golson, 19, of Dover, Del., was charged with three counts of receiving stolen property.
Sherrod and Barrett were each committed to Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna, Del., in lieu of $8,500 secured bond. Judge and Gordon were released on their own recognizance. All were issued no contact orders with the victims and were banned from UD property.
