Keep personal belongings safe


2:17 p.m., April 14, 2014--University of Delaware Police remind everyone to secure their personal property and not to leave belongings unattended.

Over the last two months, there has been an increase in thefts at central campus buildings, including Colburn Laboratory, Alison Hall, McKinly Laboratory, Lammot du Pont Laboratory, Brown Laboratory, Drake Laboratory, Kirkbride Hall, Memorial Hall and the Office of University Studies at 150 South College Ave.

2FA protects you

If you are using two-factor authentication (2FA), even if a hacker has your password, your information is probably safe.

Most incidents have occurred in the afternoon between 1 and 4 p.m., and thefts have included cell phones, currency and other unattended property.

Report any suspicious activity immediately to UD Police by calling 911 or 302-831-2222.
