University Library announces pilot of increased Friday, Saturday hours
7:48 a.m., Sept. 11, 2012--The University of Delaware Library has announced that the Morris Library is now open until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights during the fall semester as a pilot recommended by the Faculty Senate Library Committee.
This is an extension of the usual 8 p.m. closing time on Friday and Saturday nights.

During the first weekend of this new access, over 30 persons entered and over 60 persons exited the Morris Library between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. each night on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7 and 8. Friday night use exceeded Saturday night use.
The Morris Library provides the same level of access from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings as is provided from midnight to 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday evenings when the Morris Library is open.
The collection in the stacks on all floors is accessible, electronic access via wired and wireless access is available, and library workstations are available throughout the Morris Library.

In addition, the electronic library, which provides a rich array of resources online, is available 24/7. The electronic library is comprised of the web page of the University of Delaware Library, which provides an online gateway to DELCAT, WorldCat Local, Research Guides, online databases, e-journals, e-books, finding aids of Special Collections and more.
