New campaign aims to promote use of designated drivers at UD

4:11 p.m., Sept. 5, 2012--Have you ever volunteered to be the designated driver for your friends? Then according to a new initiative coming to the University of Delaware, you’re a HERO.

The HERO Campaign, in partnership with University Police, aims to prevent drunken driving tragedies by promoting the use of safe and sober designated drivers.

June 6: UDid It! Picnic

All UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the annual UDid It! employee appreciation picnic, set from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, on The Green.

2FA protects you

If you are using two-factor authentication (2FA), even if a hacker has your password, your information is probably safe.

Students can pledge to be a HERO at the Sept. 8 and Sept. 15 football games, as well as sign up to participate in the "Get Moving UD" Wellness Fair and 5K Walk/Run in a HERO tent in the fan zone.

Sororities, fraternities and RSOs are encouraged to sign up for the 5k Walk/Run, and to contact a University representative about participating in the HERO Campaign.
