University Library offers 'Digitizing Old Formats for Beginners' workshop
8:16 a.m., Sept. 25, 2012--The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop titled “Digitizing Old Formats for Beginners” on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 10, in which participants will learn how to transfer old media formats to current digital formats for use on a computer.
The workshop will cover transferring formats such as VHS, vinyl records, audio cassettes, photographic slides, microforms and paper depending on the needs of the participants.

An overview of equipment available at the Student Multimedia Design Center will be presented as well as tips for home equipment:
The workshop will meet from 2:30-4 p.m. in the Student Multimedia Design Center, Room B, on the lower level of the Morris Library. The presenter will be Hannah Lee, assistant librarian, Student Multimedia Design Center.
The workshop is available at no charge and is open to UD faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. To register online go to the library workshops website.
