Jeffrey D. Conway, 1985 alumnus, dies
10:49 a.m., Sept. 3, 2012--Jeffrey D. Conway, who earned his bachelor’s degree in finance at the University of Delaware in 1985, died Aug. 28, 2012. He was 48.
A graduate of Dickinson High School, Mr. Conway was employed by WSFS, MBNA and as a vice president at Bank of America.
As a young man, he was active in Babe Ruth Baseball and was proud to be on the 1983 team that won the World Series in Ohio in the 16-18 year old age group. He continued to play softball in various leagues.
Mr. Conway is survived by his daughter, Brooke; his mother, Peggy DeCoursey; his brothers and sister, John W. Conway (Allison), Kathy Herrin (Jim), Michael Conway; his nieces and nephews, Adam, Ashley, Michael, Mike, Amber, Kayla and Frankie; and his great niece, Lydia.
A viewing was held Sept. 3 at the Doherty Funeral Home in Pike Creek. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the educatonal fund for his daughter, Brooke, at any branch of WSFS bank.
