4:36 p.m., Sept. 14, 2012--The entire University community is encouraged to show support for the UD’s new designated driving initiative, the HERO Campaign, by signing up to become a HERO before Saturday’s football game.
Organizers say that more than 162 people pledged to become a HERO before last week’s game, and they hope to beat that number this week.

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.
Doctoral hooding
It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.
Students and student groups are welcome to sign up in the HERO tent before the game, or by contacting a University representative.
