Class suspended Wednesday, offices closed Tuesday
UD classes delayed until at least Nov. 1, offices closed Oct. 30
3:28 p.m., Oct. 29, 2012--The University of Delaware has pushed back the resumption of classes at least a day and extended the office closing through Tuesday, Oct. 30.
Classes are now suspended on Wednesday, Oct. 31, and will not resume until Thursday, Nov. 1, at the earliest.

Doctoral hooding
All UD offices will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 30. Only essential personnel should report, and they may need to check with their supervisors.
Members of the UD community are reminded that the governor has declared a Level 2 driving restriction, which means only persons who are deemed essential personnel to core functions may drive on the highways.
Latest announcements
The Morris Library will be open from noon to 5 p.m., today, Oct. 30. The building will be open as a study area but no services are available. (Updated at 10:40 a.m., Oct. 30.)
UD Dining operations are closed through Tuesday, Oct. 30. All residential dining halls (Kent, Russell, Rodney and Pencader) will open on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the following times: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for brunch, and 5-7:30 p.m. for dinner. All retail locations remain closed through Wednesday, Oct. 31. Dining Services will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as future hours of operation can be determined for each dining location. Check www.udel.edu/dining for further updates. Carpenter Sports Building will be open from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30, and plans to resume normal hours on Wednesday, Oct. 31. (Upated at 10:53 a.m., Oct. 30.)
UD Transit bus service is suspended.
The gates on all University parking garages are raised.
The UDairy Creamery remains closed today.
The Lewes Campus is closed due to the Delaware State of Emergency. Offices are closed, and only essential personnel are asked to report.
For students
Classes are suspended at least through Wednesday, Oct. 31, and will not resume until Thursday, Nov. 1, at the earliest, pending the impact of Hurricane Sandy.
