TEXT SIZE

12:24 p.m., Oct. 8, 2012--University of Delaware Social Media’s Blue Hen Says Twitter account is now more “for students, by students” than ever, with this fall’s introduction of the new Social Media Ambassador (SMA) Twitter accounts.

Representing a variety of majors and extracurricular activities, each SMA will use his or her own official Blue Hen Twitter account to tell the story of life at UD from a student’s perspective.

Campus Stories

From graduates, faculty

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.

Doctoral hooding

It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.

The SMAs will live-tweet during events, post photos and video, and communicate with fellow students through their Twitter accounts.

In addition to interacting with current students, the SMAs hope to attract prospective students with their Twitter accounts by giving future Blue Hens insight into life as a student at UD.
