Office of Equity and Inclusion announces training sessions
2:32 p.m., Oct. 4, 2012--The University of Delaware Office of Equity and Inclusion will be offering two training sessions for the UD community to increase awareness of the importance of having an inclusive workplace.
The Harassment and Discrimination Training will be on Monday, Oct. 29, from 2-4 p.m., in the Collins Room of the Perkins Student Center.

Participants will get an understanding of how to be sensitive to the differences of those around them, as well as information regarding UD policies and procedures that prohibit discriminatory and sexual harassment.
ADA for Managers will be offered on Monday, Oct. 29, from 10-11:30 a.m., also in the Collins Room of the Perkins Student Center.
This training will help managers and administrators become familiar with the American with Disabilities Act as it pertains to the workplace, as well as information about the University’s policies and procedures, information about the best way to identity reasonable accommodations, communicating with people with disabilities, and thoughts on how people with disabilities can be incorporated in the workplace.
