Materials Science and Engineering announces fall lecture series
10:46 a.m., Oct. 3, 2012--The University of Delaware Department of Materials Science and Engineering will hold its fall 2012 lecture series beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
All lectures will take place in 219 Brown Laboratory at 10 a.m.

Oct. 10: “Patterning and Scale-up of Organic Optoelectronic Devices by Organic Vapor Jet Printing,” Max Shtein, associate professor of materials science and engineering, University of Michigan.
Oct. 24: “Detection and Classification of Disease Biomarkers in Complex Media Using Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy: The Case of Epithelial Ovarian Cancer,” Noureddine Melikechi, dean of the College of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Technology, Delaware State University.
Nov. 7: “The Materials Science of Chalcopyrite Materials for Solar Cell Applications,” Angus Rockett, professor of materials science and engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Nov. 14: “Shifting Paradigms in Polymer Crystallization,” Murugappan Muthukumar, Wilmer D. Barrett Professor of Polymer Science and Engineering, University of Massachusetts.
Dec. 5: “Theory and Molecular Simulation Studies of Macromolecular Soft Materials,” Arthi Jayaraman, Patten Assistant Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering, University of Colorado at Boulder.
