Nominations sought for scholarship to UD student with a disability

9:59 a.m., May 15, 2013--Nominations are now being sought for the Delta Alpha Pi Outstanding Student Scholarship, sponsored by University of Delaware's Disability Caucus and Delta Alpha Pi honor society.

The $500 award and certificate will be presented to a UD student with a disability who is registered with the Office of Disability Support Services and who has demonstrated outstanding accomplishments that exemplify the abilities and contributions of individuals with disabilities at the University.

June 6: UDid It! Picnic

All UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the annual UDid It! employee appreciation picnic, set from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, on The Green.

Applications may be submitted until the end of the day, Thursday, May 23, and the recipient will be notified in June.  

A letter of recommendation is required, and it may be submitted by the applicant, another student or a member of the staff or faculty. Applicants also are encouraged to submit a an optional statement noting personal success and/or barriers overcome. Letters of recommendation and personal statements may be emailed to disability-caucus@udel.edu or submitted directly to the Office of Disability Support Services, 161 Perkins Student Center.
