Three UD Facilities employees complete state certificates

10:18 a.m., May 31, 2013--Three University of Delaware Facilities and Auxiliary Services employees have completed programs and earned certificates from the apprenticeship and training section of the Delaware Department of Labor’s Division of Industrial Affairs.

State Secretary of Labor John McMahon attended a ceremony honoring the employees on Tuesday morning, May 21, at UD’s General Services Building.

UD ROTC cadets will run from New York City to Miami this month to raise awareness about veterans' affairs.

The employees are Ann Birney and Benjamin Toole, caretakers, and Nicholas Bradley, HVAC mechanic.

Each completed both the formal education and on the job work hours required to earn the state’s certificate of completion of apprenticeship.
