On Friday, April 12, when the Mirapoint servers behind the UD Webmail service crashed, the service had over 14,000 email accounts. As of May 1, over 9,400 accounts have been moved successfully to either Google Apps at UD or UD’s central Exchange service, leaving approximately 4,600 UD Webmail accounts that need to migrate.

For the past three years, all undergraduate students and many faculty and staff have been successfully using email in Google Apps at UD. And many UD administrative staff members have used UD’s Exchange service successfully for over a decade. Both Google Apps and Exchange offer integrated calendaring and other features.

Individuals may move their UD Webmail accounts to Google Apps at UD by following these directions.
