The principles are organized into involvement opportunities throughout several tiers -- Tier 1, the emerging leader; Advanced Tier 1; Tier 2, the engaged leader; and Tier 3, the established leader.
Students attend and reflect on a variety of workshops throughout the academic year, participate in roundtable discussions about current leadership issues and work in groups to institute positive change in the community.
This year, 128 students completed Tier 1 of the BHLP, 11 students completed Advanced Tier 1, 37 students completed Tier 2, and five individuals completed the inaugural year of Tier 3.
Additionally, outstanding leaders within all tiers were further recognized for their efforts at the 2013 YoUDee Awards.
Students from all levels, colleges and extracurricular areas participate in the Blue Hen Leadership Program. More information on the BHLP can be found at the website.
