DBY living opportunity
Residence Life announces Designed By You program in Ray Street complex
1:17 p.m., March 6, 2013--The University of Delaware Office of Residence Life has announced an opportunity for students living on campus next year through its new Designed By You (DBY) program in the Ray Street complex.
DBY is a community environment where students of similar interests can come together in support of their shared social or academic interests.

While living in DBY, the communities are given support and flexibility in organizing meetings and events throughout the semesters. These events can be used to showcase, practice or learn the specific interest that the members share.
Residence Life supports DBY communities through funding, training and partnerships. Unlike any other residential experience at UD, students participate actively in their residence hall to receive the experiences they are looking for.
A Residence Life representative said the student-designed community is “an exciting opportunity for residents to become involved and forge relationships based on a common thread.”
Any group of four or more full-time undergraduate students who are eligible for on-campus housing are welcome to submit a proposal for a DBY community.
Students who would like to join a pre-existing community can consider the Craftastic, Cuisine and Creative Fusion communities.
Proposals for new communities are being accepted until March 15.
