Welcome, freshmen
Alumni welcome Class of 2016 with send-off events across country
4:24 p.m., July 20, 2012--This summer, incoming University of Delaware freshmen will be welcomed to the Blue Hen family by alumni at send-off events held in cities coast to coast.
The send-off events, hosted by UD regional alumni clubs and the Office of Alumni Relations, are open to all incoming members of the Class of 2016 and their families, as well as UD alumni and current students. Those interested in attending a send-off event in their respective cities can register at http://www.UDconnection.com/2012sendoffs. All send-off events will feature food and refreshments.
Campus Stories

“The send-offs are a nice way for freshmen to learn about the college experience from UD alumni and current students,” says Stefanie Spatola, alumni clubs coordinator. “It also gives our new students a chance to meet other incoming freshmen and make friends even before they step onto campus. UD alumni are excited to share their stories and tips, and the new students are anxious to hear about what life will be like come August.”
