Winter Commencement to be webcast Jan. 6
3:13 p.m., Jan. 4, 2013--The University of Delaware's Winter Commencement ceremony, scheduled at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 6, at the Bob Carpenter Center, will be webcast live for those who are unable to attend.

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.
Doctoral hooding
It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.
Winter Commencement is for students who complete their degree requirements in August and December.
Delivering the Commencement address will be UD alumnus Lawrence F. Probst III, chairman of the U.S. Olympic Committee.
