11:39 a.m., Jan. 8, 2013--Vita Nova, the University of Delaware’s student-run restaurant, is accepting reservations for the spring semester.

The restaurant, located on the second floor of the Trabant University Center, will open for lunch on Monday, Feb. 11, and for dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.

It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.


Students in the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management will share with patrons a brand new menu and beverage selections.

Vita Nova offers an award winning lunch buffet Monday through Friday, from 11:30 a.m., and elegant dining Wednesday through Friday, from 5:30 p.m.

For those guests looking for more casual fair, the Darden Bistro offers a variety of small plates and a pre-theatre menu featuring a three-course prix fixe menu for only $20.

The Darden Bistro has the same opening hours as Vita Nova, Wednesday through Friday, starting at 5:30 p.m., during the semester.
