Newark Police arrest juvenile for Sept. 25 strong arm robbery

3:39 p.m., Jan. 10, 2013--Newark Police have arrested a 16-year-old juvenile from Newark in connection with a strong arm robbery that occurred Sept. 25 on East Delaware Avenue. 

During the incident, a man walking on the sidewalk was carrying an iPod in his hand when a person riding a bicycle came by and grabbed the device. The victim was not injured.

After a lengthy investigation, Newark Police detectives located pawn records tying the juvenile to the incident. He was arrested without incident Jan. 8, and upon his arrest, detectives located items linking him to the crime. 

The juvenile was charged with one count of second degree robbery and released on $6,000 unsecured bail.
