Faculty and Staff Service Award Programs focus of new website
9:42 a.m., Feb. 28, 2013--The Office of Human Resources has launched a new website dedicated to the University of Delaware service award programs for employees and retirees.
The website features full details about the programs, service and retirement gifts, as well as the recognition events held to honor the recipients. Included on the website is a complete list of the service award honorees and retirees for this year.

UD employees who receive University benefits are recognized for years of service starting at 5 years and at each 5-year interval thereafter. The awardee names are generated in the spring based on service dates for the current fiscal year, which runs July 1 to June 30.
The University thanks recipients for their service to UD with the ability to select a gift from collections designed especially for them. This year’s awardees will receive an email from MTM Recognition in mid-March with a link to UD’s online catalog. Employees who have limited access to email will receive brochures mailed to their homes in mid-March as well.
This year’s Service Award Luncheon for employees celebrating 5, 10 and 15 years will be held on March 20; email invitations went out earlier this week.
This year’s Service Award and Retirement Dinner will be held on May 16. The dinner is held to honor retirees and employees celebrating 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of service. Each retiree and employee is encouraged to bring a guest to this event. Invitations will be sent in mid-April.
