Library offers Final Cut Pro 7 multimedia workshops in March

10:53 a.m., Feb. 11, 2013--The University of Delaware Library will present three workshops on Final Cut Pro 7 in March.

Professional editors use Apple’s Final Cut Pro to edit popular TV shows and movies; this powerful software makes this possible for everyone.

Two levels of workshops will be offered “Final Cut Pro 7: The Basics” and “Final Cut Pro 7: Beyond the Basics.”

“Final Cut Pro 7: The Basics” will cover all the basics of this feature-rich application. The workshops are open to UD faculty, students and staff with an interest in video editing. There will be ample time for questions and to work on individual projects.

Workshops on the basics will be offered from 7-9 p.m., Monday, March 4, and from 1:30-3:30 p.m., Thursday, March 7, both in the Student Multimedia Design Center, Room B, on the lower level of the Morris Library. Presenter will be Nico Carver, assistant librarian, Student Multimedia Design Center.

“Final Cut Pro 7: Beyond the Basics” will cover keyboard shortcuts, color correction, audio mixing, filters, titles, stills, special fix and much more. This workshop will start at an intermediate level; it is recommended that participants take the “basic” workshop first, or have some previous experience with Final Cut Pro.

The workshop will meet from 1:30-3:30 p.m., Thursday, March 14, in the Student Multimedia Design Center, Room B, on the lower level of the Morris Library. Carver will be the presenter.

These workshops are available at no charge and are open to UD faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Registration is available online.
