Campus Stories

From graduates, faculty

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.

Doctoral hooding

It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.

Students may apply individually and if accepted into the challenge, the company will coordinate placement in a team. Alternatively, students may form a team of four to six people in advance and note their preference on the application form.

The codefest will be held over the weekend of March 1-2, where students will code in teams to showcase their vision, imagination and skills and have the chance to prove what they are capable of achieving.

Participation in the Code for Good Challenge will also give students the unique opportunity to work alongside JPMorgan Chase technology mentors and judges.

Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams. In addition, students may have the option to further support the non-profit organization by developing the technical solution created during the challenge.

Coders will need to bring their own laptops to the event, but JPMorgan Chase will cover the cost of travel expenses, though conditions apply. Details and instructions, including the event location, will be provided to successful applicants.

Interested students should visit the Code for Good webpage for more information and to apply.
