Miss America voting open as UD student represents Delaware
1:37 p.m., Dec. 4, 2012--Alyssa Murray, a junior communication major at the University of Delaware, will be competing for the title of Miss America on Jan. 12 at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Murray’s fellow Blue Hens can support her by clicking here, watching Murray’s video and casting a vote for their classmate.

The candidate with the most votes will automatically be included in the top 15 finalists of the contest.
Murray, a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority, is originally from Selbyville, Del.
"It is fantastic to have a member of the Greek community at UD representing the state of Delaware in the Miss America competition,” said Adam Cantley, assistant director for Fraternity and Sorority Life. “Alyssa is a proud member and leader of Alpha Xi Delta, involved on campus, and a successful student in the classroom. I am sure Alyssa will make all Blue Hens proud and we wish her the best in Las Vegas this January."
