UD Social Media accepting ambassador applications for 2012-13 academic year

1:43 p.m., Aug. 29, 2012--University of Delaware Social Media has positions available for students who are into social media, blogging, video production, marketing, photography or event planning.

Now entering its third year, UD’s Social Media Ambassador (SMA) program is a unique and fun opportunity for students to gain professional social media experience before graduating.

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.

Doctoral hooding

It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.

SMAs work as a team to create and curate fun, engaging content for the Blue Hen Says Facebook and Twitter accounts as well as other official UD accounts as needed.

SMA applications are now being accepted. Interested students should complete the online application no later than Friday, Sept. 7. Applicants selected for the SMA program will be notified by mid-September.
