UD added to Megabus route

Megabus service to begin Sept. 19 at University's Laird Campus

2:39 p.m., Aug. 31, 2012--The University of Delaware is now an official bus stop for Megabus. Students, faculty, staff and the public can now enjoy express daily transportation to destinations such as New York City, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. 

From those stops, passengers can connect to many other destinations, including Toronto, North Carolina and Virginia.

In an effort to provide the UD community with varied transportation options, UD Transportation Services has reached an agreement with Megabus, which offers low-cost express inter-city bus service for as low as $1 via the Internet. 

Beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 19, Megabus will arrive and depart from the UD bus shelter in Lot 6 on Laird Campus. Tickets are already on-sale and can be purchased on Megabus’ website. Riders will receive a confirmation email once they’ve purchased tickets with further instructions about parking at the bus stop and other information.
