University of Delaware Library offers RefWorks workshops
11:24 a.m., Aug. 31, 2012--The University of Delaware Library will present five workshops on RefWorks during the fall semester. RefWorks, a web-based citation management tool provided by the library and available at the library’s databases page, is used to import and organize citations and generate bibliographies or reference lists.
Two levels of workshops are offered: “Introduction to RefWorks” and “RefWorks: Beyond the Basics,” in addition to a workshop on “Citing Using APA Style and RefWorks.”

The introductory workshop covers setting up an account, exporting citations from research databases, managing citations, creating bibliographies and more.
“RefWorks: Beyond the Basics” provides additional information about exporting references from research databases and organizing references; it also includes using the Write-N-Cite feature to insert in-text citations as well as editing in-text citations.
"Citing Using APA Style and RefWorks" workshop covers using RefWorks with the American Psychological Association (APA) citation style.
Sessions will be offered as follows:
Introduction to RefWorks
Thursday, Sept. 27, 10-11:30 a.m.,Library Instruction Room (116A), Morris Library, first floor. Presenters will be Dianna McKellar, librarian, Reference and Instructional Services Department, and Carol Rudisell, librarian, Reference and Instructional Services Department.
Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2-3:30 p.m., also in the Library Instruction Room (116A). Presenters will be McKellar and Rebecca Knight, associate librarian, Reference and Instructional Services Department.
RefWorks: Beyond the Basics
Thursday, Oct. 4, 10-11:30 a.m., Library Instruction Room (116A). Presenters will be William Simpson, associate librarian, Reference and Instructional Services Department, and Knight.
Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2-3:30 p.m., Library Instruction Room (116A). Presenters will be Knight and Simpson.
Citing Using APA Style and RefWorks
Thursday, Oct. 25, 2-3:30 p.m., Library Instruction Room (116A). Knight will be the presenter.
These workshops are available at no charge and are open to UD faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required, and can be completed online.
