Library offers 'Introduction to Film and Video Collection' workshop

1:26 p.m., Aug. 14, 2012--The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop titled “Introduction to Film and Video Collection Resources,” which focuses on film and video resources and services related to classroom instructional support and research, on Sept. 5 and Sept. 20.

The workshop will provide an overview of film and video resources and services available at the University of Delaware Library. The following questions will be addressed within this workshop:

June 6: UDid It! Picnic

All UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the annual UDid It! employee appreciation picnic, set from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, on The Green.

2FA protects you

If you are using two-factor authentication (2FA), even if a hacker has your password, your information is probably safe.
  • How can more media be incorporated into teaching? 
  • What films and videos are available for class viewing? 
  • How can videos be checked out and scheduled for future use in my class? 

The session will begin with a tour of the Film and Video Collection Department facilities, which include viewing carrels, a viewing room, the collections area and the Media Research Room. 

Participants will be shown how to search the collection in DELCAT and WorldCat Local and will be given an online tour of the Film and Video web page. Note that the workshop does not cover services and resources offered by the Student Multimedia Design Center.

The Wednesday, Sept. 5, session will meet from 9-10 a.m. in the Film and Video Collection Department on the lower level of the Morris Library. Meghann Matwichuk, associate librarian and coordinator in the department, will be the presenter.

She also will be the presenter at the Thursday, Sept. 20 session, scheduled from 2-3 p.m., in the department on the lower level of the Morris Library.

These workshops are available at no charge and are open to UD faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. To register online, interested individuals may go to this site.
