“The Legacy Receptions exist to welcome back UD Alumni and their children who’ve been admitted to the University of Delaware as students through the admissions process via an event that celebrates all that is fresh, new and exciting here at the University,” said Lauren Murray Simione, a 1995 alumna and associate director with the Office of Alumni Relations. “Alumni are usually awed at the new buildings, technology and wonderful changes and developments here on campus and here in Newark. The Legacy Receptions are a chance for alumni and future UD students to meet and aid them in their college education path forward.”
The future Class of 2017 will be greeted by members of the UD Student Alumni Ambassadors (SAAs), as well as UDAA board members. They will be ready to answer questions and share their stories and experiences about campus life at UD.
Light refreshments and cake will be served. Legacy students will be given a keepsake gift to celebrate their admission as well as their legacy as Blue Hens.
Information about Decision Days was included in the admittance package sent by the Office of Admissions. If a student has not already done so, have them register for Decision Days at this website.
You do not need to register for a Legacy Reception, but should you have any questions about the receptions only email the Alumni Association at alumni-association@udel.edu or contact Lauren Simione at 302-831-1408.
