UD expresses its concern, support in wake of Boston tragedy

4:21 p.m., April 16, 2013--As the investigation into the terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon continues, the University community expresses its support for the people of Boston and for all those affected by the tragedy.

"We are deeply saddened by the events of April 15," UD President Patrick T. Harker said. "This terrorist attack on an American institution strikes very close to home for us all, since so many members of our community follow the Marathon and a number of us have family and friends from the region. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families."

UD students who are in need of support or assistance may visit the University's Center for Counseling and Student Development at the Perkins Student Center from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., weekdays, or visit the Office of the Dean of Students in 101 Hullihen Hall.
