Speakers to address strategies for getting jobs in nonprofit sector
9:24 a.m., April 12, 2013--Three speakers will address strategies for getting jobs in the nonprofit sector during special presentations April 23-25 sponsored by the University of Delaware Department of Political Science and International Relations.
Topics will include the value of volunteering, internships, educational choices, skill sets, career paths, resume building, networking and interview strategies.

The speakers are scheduled as follows:
7 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 127 Memorial Hall – Bill Skinner, who has 28 years of experience working in the YMCA system in New England and the Mid-Atlantic and from 2001-06 was president and CEO of a foundation that managed $15 million in assets, will speak.
7 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, 104 Gore Hall –Brad Goodman, a UD alumnus who received a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in biology in 2008, will speak. He has served with the Peace Corps in Peru, worked for the U.S. Administration for Native Americans, worked on environmental projects and taught courses in environmental education and English.
7 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 104 Gore Hall – Amanda Mizrahi, operations manager at Do More Mission, will speak. Do More Mission is a consulting firm that seeks to enhance the effectiveness of social entrepreneurs, philanthropists and nonprofit leaders. She also is a member of the board of the Tikkun Olam Women’s Foundation.
