UD Recreation Services to host Blue Hens Day Camp in July

11:27 a.m., April 30, 2013--Blue Hens Day Camp, hosted by University of Delaware Recreation Services, is gearing up for July sessions that offer recreational opportunities for UD and Newark community youth.

The camp, with two one-week sessions July 8-12 and July 15-19, will offer a structured program designed to engage and promote healthy living and wellness.

University of Delaware junior Claire Brown has been named second team Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-Region.

Unsung Hero

The One Love Foundation has announced that University of Delaware men's lacrosse standout Elijah Conte has been selected as a winner of the 2016 YRL Unsung Hero Award.

Campers will be able to rotate through various activities to include swimming, sports, games, fitness classes and arts and crafts.

The camp seeks to develop teamwork, leadership, creativity, water safety and social skills in a fun and inclusive recreational environment.

Each camp day will conclude with a swim at UD’s outdoor pool.

The camp is open to children entering grades 1-6. 

UD employees will receive a discounted registration rate of $210 per week for the first camper and $180 for a sibling camper.

Cost to community members is $240 per week for the first camper and $210 for a sibling camper.

Before and after care is available for an additional fee.
