For the past three years, all undergraduate students and many faculty and staff have been successfully using email in Google Apps at UD. And many UD administrative staff members have used UD’s Exchange service successfully for over a decade. Both Google Apps and Exchange offer integrated calendaring and other features.

In the coming weeks, IT will be working with departmental IT professionals to help them move all employee email accounts that remain on UD Webmail to Google Apps at UD or UD Exchange, as appropriate. In addition, IT staff will be working with other groups of UD Webmail users (retirees, graduate students, etc.) to help them move to Google Apps at UD.

Individuals may now follow these two steps to request that their UD Webmail (Mirapoint, accounts be moved to Google Apps at UD:

1. Log in at the UD Network page and select Switch to Google Apps for your UD email. Within five minutes, any new email sent to your email address will arrive in your Google Apps at UD inbox.

2. Submit an IT Support Center Help Request asking that your stored email (old messages in your inbox and messages stored in folders at be moved to Google Apps at UD.
