Newark Police make arrests in two burglaries
6:48 p.m., April 4, 2013--Newark Police have announced arrests in two unrelated burglaries.
The Criminal Investigations Division and Street Crimes Unit arrested Nicholas Neal, 22, of Wilmington, for a burglary that occurred Jan. 25 at Continental Court Apartments, 65 South Chapel St.

Neal, the second suspect arrested for this incident, was charged with second degree burglary, second degree conspiracy and theft under $1,500. He was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,750 secured bail.
Newark Police arrested Brendan Mcnulty, 22, of Newark after a fingerprint match linked him to the crime scene of a burglary that occurred at approximately 3:50 a.m., Sunday, March 10, in an apartment at 58 East Main St. In this case, the victim arrived home to discover that his window screen was cut and the window was open. The investigating patrol officer collected several fingerprints and handprints from the window area. The prints were entered into Delaware's statewide Automated Fingerprint Identification System and matched to Mcnulty, who was unknown to the victim.
Mcnulty was charged with second degree burglary, theft under $1,500 and criminal mischief under $1,000. He was released on $4,100 unsecured bail.
