UD ranks among 'Best Bang for Your Buck' schools
12:30 p.m., Oct. 4, 2011--The University of Delaware is featured in a list of "Best Bang for Your Buck Colleges," published Oct. 3 in The Huffington Post.
The list, compiled by a college information site called Unigo, identifies colleges "that are relatively inexpensive that provide a first-class education."

The description calls UD "one of the best and most competitive public universities for out-of-state students" and goes on to say, "So for prospective students that actually call Delaware home (What's that like?), UD offers a top tier education with a very affordable price tag."
One freshman quoted in the article includes in her list of the best things about UD: "Great campus/town, likeable students, great education for a good value. There are things to do and get involved in."
Other universities included in the list are Brigham Young University, the College of William and Mary, North Carolina State University, the State University of New York-Binghamton, the University of California-Irvine, the University of Maryland, the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Virginia and the University of Washington.
Unigo.com provides high school students and parents with information about America's colleges. The site features thousands of interactive college reviews created by current college students. Writing in The Wall Street Journal, Walt Mossberg called Unigo “a college resource built for the age of YouTube and Facebook.”
