Submit your Homecoming T-shirt design through Oct. 24

5:07 p.m., Oct. 21, 2011--University of Delaware Athletics and the Cockpit have extended the deadline to submit designs for the first annual Homecoming T-Shirt Design Contest. UD students have the chance to design the 2011 Homecoming student T-shirt and entries are being accepted until 5 p.m., Monday, Oct. 24.

The 2011 Homecoming T-Shirt Design Contest winner will have their design printed on the shirt that will be distributed by the Cockpit at the Blue Hens women’s basketball game against the University of Rhode Island on Friday, Nov. 11. The winning design will be unveiled for the first time at the game.

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.

It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.

All students who wear the official 2011 Homecoming T-shirt to the Homecoming football game on Saturday, Nov. 12, are eligible for $1 hot dogs during the third quarter.

The three finalists will be announced on the Cockpit webpage on Tuesday, Oct. 25. 

Students will be able to vote for their top choice from Oct. 25 through Thursday, Nov. 3. The three finalists will have their designs displayed at the Homecoming Spirit Stations around campus during the week of Nov. 7.

Design submissions may not exceed three colors and be no larger than 12 inches by 12 inches. The files must be submitted in PDF format, at no less than 300 DPI resolution with original, layered Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop files available upon request.
