UD Collegiate Figure Skating Team takes second at nationals
1:56 p.m., May 16, 2012--The University of Delaware Collegiate Figure Skating Team took second place at the 2012 Intercollegiate Figure Skating Nationals held last month at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The UD team scored 97 points, falling only to its primary competitor, Dartmouth College, while beating out the other top teams from across the country to claim the silver.

"I believe the entire team worked together all season and gave each competition all they had,” said team president Marissa Marschall. “We faced some challenges going into nationals but the team pulled together and fought to the end. This team has improved tremendously and will continue to thrive in the coming years."
Marschall said the team is very proud of its performance during the recently completed season and hopes to be able to reclaim the national title, which it won last year, in 2013.
