UD women's basketball remains No. 12 in latest Associated Press poll
7:50 a.m., Feb. 7, 2012--The 20-1 University of Delaware women's basketball team continues to be ranked No. 12 in the latest Associated Press poll announced Monday.
Head coach Tina Martin's Blue Hens are just behind the No. 11 University of Tennessee (17-6), one of the most decorated programs in women's basketball history, and just ahead of the No. 13 University of Nebraska (19-3).

Baylor University (23-0) continues to lead the poll, with the University of Notre Dame (23-1) No. 2, the University of Connecticut (21-2) No. 3, Stanford University (20-1) No. 4 and Duke University (18-3) No. 5.
UD All-American junior Elena Delle Donne leads the nation in scoring, with 28.1 points per game. Lauren Carra is scoring 9 points per game and Danielle Parker 8.1 points per game.
Since the last poll, UD has won two Colonial Athletic Association games, defeating the University of North Carolina Wilmington 62-53 and Virginia Commonwealth University 68-49.
The Hens will continue CAA play this week, taking on Old Dominion University at 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Bob Carpenter Center and traveling to Georgia State University for a game on Sunday, Feb. 12.
