3:01 p.m., Feb. 16, 2012--The University of Delaware men's lacrosse team routinely has meals at the Newark Courtyard at UD before games, but on Friday, Feb. 10, the luncheon spread included something extra: a surprise cake celebrating Coach Bob Shillinglaw's 300th career win.

"We enjoy having the lacrosse team here, and we wanted to do something special to honor Coach Shillinglaw's very noteworthy achievement," said Bill Sullivan, manager of the Newark Courtyard.

Reviresco June run

UD ROTC cadets will run from New York City to Miami this month to raise awareness about veterans' affairs.

Shillinglaw 's 300th win came Feb. 4 in a game against Detroit, the first game of the collegiate men's lacrosse season at Delaware Stadium. He is only the third active NCAA Division I head coach -- and only the eighth in the history of men's collegiate lacrosse -- to reach that mark.
