Magee, professor of political science and international relations, will speak on "Conceptions and Concepts in Constructing Constitutional Law."
The three-time Excellence in Teaching Award winner will focus on how he works to develop students' critical thinking and analytical skills, drawing on his experience in teaching constitutional law. In his classroom, Magee tries to convince his students to “think critically, conceptually and analytically,” as well as build confidence that encourages them “to do their best work, to think for themselves, to convince them that they can reach a level of thinking and learning that transcends memorizing information they will forget soon after the course is finished.”
