Hosted by the Office of Alumni Relations, the morning featured many special guests, including Santa, Spiderman, Rapunzel and a magician. YoUDee paid a visit and was welcomed by many excited children, who also enjoyed face painting, arts and crafts, yummy holiday food and prizes such as coupons to the new University Bookstore on Main Street.

Jennifer Boylan, a 1999 graduate of the College of Education and Human Development, attended the breakfast with her daughter. “It was the first time that we attended any alumni event, and my daughter and I had a fabulous time,” says Boylan. “She loved every aspect of it. We will definitely attend again next year.”
Dinamarie DeAngelo, a 1999 graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences, said that the event was “by far the best holiday breakfast I have ever taken my 4- and 5-year-olds to. My kids could not stop talking about it all day! I plan on attending this event each year and look forward to the Easter event.”
The Office of Alumni Relations hosts many other events throughout the year that give alumni and their families a chance to connect with the University and fellow Blue Hens.
“Alumni events are a way for alumni to engage with UD and to introduce their spouses and children to the culture and traditions of the University,” says Justine Talley-Beck, a 1998 graduate and associate director of Alumni Relations. "It was especially great to see so many children showing their UD spirit at the event and to be honest, I'm not sure who was more popular, Santa or YoUDee!"
Talley-Beck added that UD was thankful to Coca-Cola for providing funding for the event.
