Rust Arena ice decorated with stripes for the holiday
2:47 p.m., Dec. 22, 2011--The ice in the University of Delaware's Fred Rust Ice Arena has been decorated with red and white candy cane stripes for the holidays, and special public skating sessions are scheduled now through Monday, Jan. 2.

• Thursday, Dec. 22, from 1-3:15 p.m.;
• Friday, Dec. 23, from 1-3:15 p.m. and 8-10 p.m.;
• Saturday, Dec. 24, from 1-3:15 p.m.;
• Monday through Friday, Dec. 26-30, from 1-3:15 p.m. and 8-10 p.m.;
• Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, 1-4 p.m.; and
• Monday, Jan. 2, 1-3:15 p.m.
Special activities
Special activities will be held at several of the public sessions, including the Juggling Hoffmans from 2-3 p.m., Dec. 27; free sand art from 1-3 p.m., Dec. 28; Raymond Entertainment performers from 1-3 p.m., Dec. 29 and 30; and a live disc jockey from 1-4 p.m., Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
Admission to the public skating sessions is $8 for adults and $5 for children 6 and younger, and skate rentals are available at $3 per pair.
