UDress student organization announces new leadership for 2011-12

10:42 a.m., Aug. 1, 2011--As the 2011-12 academic year approaches, the UDress student organization has announced changes to the executive board.

Lauren Marchionni is the new editor in chief, succeeding Samantha Cowley, and Teagan Thomas is the new executive editor, succeeding Lauren Marchionni.

The University of Delaware's Nii Attoh-Okine recently published a new book with Cambridge University Press, "Resilience Engineering: Models and Analysis."

UD ROTC cadets will run from New York City to Miami this month to raise awareness about veterans' affairs.

Other changes include:

• Kara Fobian succeeds Emily Barbeau as public relations director;

• Samantha Tricoli succeeds Montana Aydlett as advertising director; 

• Alex Davey succeeds Teagan Thomas as style editor; 

• Justine Scarfone succeeds Meg Gray as associate fashion event director.

• Jaclyn Allen has been named head of the beauty team; 

• Bria Schirripa and Sonny Rothstadt succeed Justine Scarfone as co-assistant fashion event directors; 

• Laura Massey succeeds Hilary Karpoff as philanthropy director.

• Paige Yourtee succeeds Zeynab Mohammed as Fashion Fresh section editor;

• Brian O'Hanlon becomes the first Men's Room editor; 

• Maggie Moore succeeds Julie Urban as Real Wide World editor; 

• Katie Ginis succeeds Katie Pohl as Life and Love with Style editor; 

• Emily Barbeau succeeds Rebecca Kasman as online editor; 

• Emily Rector becomes social media director; and 

• Martha Adjei and Melanie Cleary succeed Laura Healy and Katherine Tabinowski as co-social chairs.

Remaining in their positions are Samantha Antopol, publisher and RSO president; Mara Lindel, art director; Max Stevens, photography director; Kristin Quail, fashion event director; Meghan Powers, treasurer; Leah Sininsky, what DelaWears editor; Samantha Tocker, Lowdown on YourUpkeep editor; and Allison Zeller, website designer.
