UD's Food and Garden Policy Committee sets discussion on 'WWOOFing'
9:06 a.m., April 23, 2012--The Food and Garden Policy Committee (FGPC) at the University of Delaware will host a free workshop, "What in the World is WWOOFing?," from 5-6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, in 109 Willard Hall Education Building.
The workshop, part of the committee's Food for Thought spring series on gardening, food and health and University Earth Week festivities, will be led by Eva Wilson and Elizabeth Hetterly, UD students and veteran WWOOFers.

June 6-9: Food and culture series
WWOOF stands for World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms and the students will discuss their experiences as volunteers on organic farms across the U.S. and around the world. They will also present information on how others can do the same, using WWOOFing as a means to travel and experience local cultures.
All FGPC workshops and lectures are free and open to the public. Space is limited, so those who plan to attend are encouraged to RSVP to Courtney Siegert at email@example.com.
The FGPC will accept donations to fund garden activities, but they are not required. More information about the series and the FGPC can be found at this website.

The Food and Gardening Policy Committee is an all-volunteer student group on the UD campus that provides classroom and hands-on experience to anyone that would like to learn how to sustainably grow chemical-free food.
The committee operates a garden in conjunction with the English Language Institute at 189 W. Main St .in Newark. Initial funding for the garden project was provided by the generous donations of the University community through the UD Sustainability Fund.
