University of Delaware Library now offers wireless printing
9:48 a.m., April 25, 2012--The University of Delaware Library has announced a new service of wireless printing in the Morris Library for the campus community.
“Students in their rooms at their residence hall or out on The Green can now send their documents to the wireless printer and pick them up on the way to class,” said Shelly McCoy, head of the Student Multimedia Design Center of the UD Library. “This designated printer is located on the lower level of the Morris Library in the Student Multimedia Design Center and can be accessed from any location on the UD network.”

McCoy indicated that UD students, faculty and staff will have to closely follow the directions to install the print drivers for the wireless printer to their Mac or PC. Once the drivers are installed, the user has 30 minutes to come to the Student Multimedia Design Center wireless print station to release and pay for their document using FLEX on their i-card. The wireless print queue will remain an option on the student’s computer until uninstalled.
The instructions for installing the wireless printer are available at this website.
The implementation of wireless printing by the Morris Library for UD students, complements the eight existing wireless printing kiosks throughout campus that are managed by UD Information Technologies.
